Commercial litigation 

Since gaining specialist accreditation over 20 years ago, Stephen has acted in a broad range of commercial contract disputes, from business, retail, conveyancing and landlord and tenant agreements to insolvency, debt recovery, and loan repayment conflicts. 

With a firm emphasis on alternative dispute resolution, Stephen saves his clients considerable stress, time and money in the majority of cases by settling matters without the need for court litigation. In the rare event that proceedings become unavoidable, he works alongside counsel, chartered accountants and expert witnesses to secure results from the District Court all the way up to the Supreme Court.

Building disputes

With an extensive track record representing clients at the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT), Stephen has secured six figure settlements in multiple building disputes, including alleged breaches of the Home Building Act in relation to large strata developments. Working with leading experts in the construction field, his industry insights give his clients a critical edge in contentious matters.

Estate litigation

Stephen also specialises in handling will disputes and family provision claims. Offering guidance and support at what is usually an extremely difficult time for his clients, he acts on behalf of executors, beneficiaries and excluded family members to ensure that estates are fairly and appropriately distributed following the death of a loved one.
